We are different from traditional daycare in several important ways:

Montessori
Traditional
Carefully chosen Montessori learning activities that match the current developmental needs of the children in the classroom. Toys may over stimulate children and are not necessarily considered for the interest and developmental needs of the children.
12 lesson plans for 12 children 1 lesson plan for 12 children
Child leads and teacher guides—The adult prepares the environment and offers opportunities for the child to learn.  Then she gently guides and assists the child. Teacher directed—The teacher transmits information and skills to the child.
Children are involved in their daily routines of care and in caring for the environment. Teacher completes the majority of daily tasks for the children
Movement and free choice Curriculum or schedule is emphasized
Infant rooms are open spaces with soft rugs and pillows on which babies can move freely. Infants spend active time in jumpers, walker, or swings.
Independence is promoted. Children are not always encouraged to try things themselves.
